Background & Process:

Any vehicle using the Eaton ASW transmission has a damper in place of a clutch, which drives the transmission generally fails after couple of years of use. Until recently, it has been a very expense fix. Eaton no longer manufactures the damper and the repair now requires the transmission to be replaced. A new flywheel, clutch assembly, clutch pedal assembly, and the engine de-rated process is otherwise required. The cost to replace all the parts could run between $9,500.00 - $11,000.00 USD.
